he has suffered every now and again with sore patches on his willy, testicles and between his bottom cheeks.

He is just 5 and still wears pull ups at night as not quite dry I thought it may be this ie hot and sweaty at night. Went to Dr's who said it is patches of eczema and it very, very common to have it in these regions I have some cream which is to be thinly applied 3 times a day.

Today his areas are what can only be described as raw....really red and patches.

Anyone else have this with their DC?

ok. what about emollient. Something like hydromol is very good and has a wash for the bath. The skin needs hydrating as well so these should be used as well as the steroid cream.

Check with the pharmacist if its only a steroid cream if it is I would use it no more than once a day and no longer than 7 days.

If it has an antibiotic or antifungal in it then use as directed.

Dont use soap on the area and if your washing powder is biological consider changing it to non bio. hth.
