Does anyone elses dc come out in a pin prick rash on their face when they have coughed/cried too hard?

First time it happened I dashed off to A&E as I thought it might be meningitis .

The doctor there said that it looks like it is burst blood vessels where he has coughed so much. She did say however that it is the exact same rash that is present with meningitis (ie doesn't fade).

I was just wondering if anyone else has experience of this? It's happened again and his poor little face is all spotty on one side .

My Ds has had this when he has been sick (bug) a lot as have I.

I normally get it around my eyes, think it's the pressure, but normally fades in a day or so.

Hi my ds gets this, particularly if he has tantrum or massive coughing fit. Freaked me when I first noticed it too. X

My dd always gets this when she coughs a lot or vomits. I too panicked when it first happened as it does not fade under a glass (scary).

is it a petechiae rash?

sounds like it.
