Some moles are raised ordinarily aren't they?

DS2 has one on his neck that i noticed was slightly raised the other day. Been preying on my mind especially as i didn't know if it was already raised or not

I have taken a photo so i can keep my eye on size. None of his others are - he doesn't have many.

I'm covered in raised moles, very normal. Good to keep an eye on it though, any gps I've had have always been happy to have a quick look at any I've been unsure about. Things to look out for are wobbly edge, strange colouring, itching, bleeding, changing. Having said that I've also been to Gp with several of these symptoms and all turned out to be OK, so don't worry but if you are concerned a quick visit to your GP will put your mind at rest.

I have some raised moles which were always raised, and some which used to look like freckles and are now raised spreading things. Paranoid about such things as my mum had melanoma. Have had a couple of moles cut off for bleeding/itching, but dermatologist has told me most look fine, so yes, raised moles can be totally normal.

Monitor it. Warning signs are that it changes/grows/itches/bleeds. Also irregular shape, or multiple colours in a single mole. And if you're worried, go to the GP and insist on a referral. A GP can't always distinguish problematic from non-problematic moles.

dp has a raised one on the side of his face - its a bugger when he shaves and he has been known to take the top off it!!
