My dd has been a bit off her feeds for couple of days but happy in herself. Last night she started with a cough and sounded phlegmey, she was sick after her 11pm feed. She has just woke up screaming and has taken an oz of milk but she seems to be breathing fast and it is her tummy rising and falling not her chest, she sounds like she has something on her chest. She is not in distress but her fontanelle is a bit sunken. Am i ok to wait to see gp in morning? Just worried as tummy going up and down when breathing, or is this normal in 3 week old?

try nhs direct. they can point you in the right direction

0845 4647 NHS direct.. good idea. Or just call your out of hours GP if you have that facility in your area.

A sunken fontenelle ususally means that there is not enough fluid in her body.

Although she is not distressed, get advice and then you will be reassured that you are doing the right thing.

Second that. If it was my child I'd call NHS direct or go to A and E. Any temp ?

sunken fontanelle normally means she is deydrated. Make an emergency aapt at gps as babies can become ill very quickly when they havent taken in enough fluid.
