rattly breathing and bad cough in 4mo

DS had a bad cold and a nasty cough. I took him to the dr on Thursday to get him checked over and she said he had a chest infection and gave us antibiotics.

DS has been having the antibiotics since and is much happier in himself - generally quite chirpy and not crying so much but his chest is still very rattly.

Is this likely to be because he still has a cold and a cough or should I get him checked out by another doctor/ go back tomorrow?

I would wait personally, as long as the baby is happy now BUT if the antibiotics run out or are almost finished and he is still chesty. Take back to the GP and they will usually prescribe a different antibiotic instead, to see if that one knocks it on the head instead.

I'm not a doctor, so I'm no expert. That's just what I would do with my 2 kids. Give the first antibiotics a chance to work, if you see what I mean?
