3 year old very swollen penis/foreskin

My son has suddenly got a very red swollen lump on the end of his penis - it is very swollen and hard to tell if its just the foreskin or if its more. He is still weeing fine and although it is sore to touch it doesnt seem to be bothering him TOO much. It is swollen at the end to about three times normal size it looks likea giant blister on the end!
I am taking him to docs first thing in the morning but does anyone have any idea what thisis?

he is potty trained in the day but uses a nappy at night.

It's inflammation of the foreskin (blephenitis or something like this). The GP will prescribe some cream. He's probably scratched it, it sounds sore though so some paracetamol should help.

I hope he's better soon.

Sounds like balanitis but best get him checked obviously.

That's it. I knew it started with a 'b' and ended in an 'itis'

blepharitis is the eye thing I think
