My son got a stye in his right eye(or what looked like a stye) in october, for which the doctor gave him some drops, he then developed a 2nd stye in the other eye and the doctor gave him antibiotics. to cut a long story short hes had 3 lots of antibiotics and they both still haven't gone away-thats 3 months now. I went to see the GP again this week and she said they will go away eventually. Except yesterday night he developed a 3rd one in his right eye and its really hurting him. Hes also had a blood test to check everything was ok, and thankfully it was...dont know what to do as his eyes look awful and everytime a stye begins his eye is swollen and painful and he also loses his appetite...any advice would be great

You can get cream from the chemist but a hot facecloth held on a closed eye helps a lot.

Could he be a bit run down?

Give him a multivitamin. My DS loves Vivioptal syrup as he says it tastes like Fanta!

well hes been having abidec multivitamin syrup for a while now, but he has had chicken pox since he got the first 2 styes...he is a terrible eater but his iron and everything is fine. He gets about 11-12 hours sleep a night, so dont know if he's still run down. Just wanted to know if its anything underlying or if anyones had anything similar

Try Goldeneye ointment from the pharmacy (not drops- they are no good for styes)- both my DDs get them from time to time and this ointment always works quite quickly.
