23 month old in hospital for 24 hours for tests - what to take with us?

My son is going to be in hospital from tomorrow morning until midday or so on Tuesday. He is having a PH study done and also some other tests. Does anyone have any suggestions for what we should take? We are going to Great Ormond Street so it is obviously geared up for children, but I am wondering what we should take for home comforts etc.

I am planning to take his favourite cuddly toys, and a few books. Anyone have other good tips? I am very nervous and am diverting my worries into obsessing about the packing list!

Thanks for the link - I had forgotten that was there and it was really useful.

I am staying and am trying to take the minimum for me. DH suggested I should take only a spare pair of knickers . Since I got covered in barium last time we were there, I am definitely taking a change of clothes for me, and something to sleep in .

The temperature thing is worrying me a bit, I think I am going to assume it will be hot but take him a jumper. I am going to take a summer weight sleeping bag I think, rather than a winter one.
