Pins and needles at night in child

My dd (5) is a heavy sleeper and moves around a lot in her sleep. Over the last few months she has started getting very frequent (most nights)pins and needles in her hands, which means the entire family is woken by her shouting! My doctor has assured me that as they are only at night it is just due to her sleeping position, and she does often lie on her arms while asleep. Does anyone else have experience of this? Any advice?
We move her into a straight sleeping position before we go to bed but that makes no difference as she is a fidget!

My 7yo has this issue, luckily not every night. He likes to get up and wash his hands as he thinks this gets rid of them. It's a pain though because once he's awake he want to be in my bed. Sorry no advice though.

Hi
Thank you for your message.

Yes it doesn't happen every night. My DD likes washing her hands too and would end up sleep in my bed too.
Dr advised me to get a blood test done.
Let me know if you have any update x
