My GP (very old style) told me to give my LO it at 3 weeks. I then had to go back to docs when he was 6 weeks old and saw a diff doc, mentioned I had given him Calpol as per previous doc and he went mad !

If in doubt phone nhs direct

HV advised half a spoonful for after first jabs, so 9 weeks must be OK.

What is her temp?

Flame · 23/12/2009 18:45

no idea... "a bit warm" (mate borrowed thermometer)

in my knowledgable mum way I place her at "warmer than normal but not worryingly hot"

dd1 had a 24hr feeling hot/rough thing over mon/tues

I think officially they say for a fever brought on by the jabs ONLY before 3 months.

Have given her 2mls (refused point blank to have the final half). Hoping she settles soon

Just to reasure you... Im a childrens nurse and we give babies in hospital that are only days old Calpol, if they have high temps or in pain.

Over 2 months should be fine and it seems you gave her roughly about the right dose if you used Baby 120mg/5ml calpol.
