Hi all,

8mo ds has a really bad chesty cough. I went to get him some medicine and got a lecture about some legislation from the woman in boots which I did not understand! I got him tixylix and he is having a nap.

My mum suggested putting his cot next to the radiator but im not so sure about that.

Any ideas what I can do to help the poor wee mite?

I have a 16m old with a chesty cough & cold too. They say cough medicine doesnt work for adults so I exptect it's the same for kids. I'd keep him at his normal temperature if I were you-unless he is running a temperature where you'd need to strip him down. Ive just given my dd a drink of warm honey and fresh orange to sooth her throat (dont have any lemon). Don't know if it works but i's one way of getting fluid into her atm
