Leaving 12mo with fever to sleep?

My 12mo has a fever (highest temp 102.7 but comes down with Calpol). She had a bad sleep last night and a long sleep this morning and has now been asleep since 2.30pm and doesn't look like she's ready to wake up.
Should I wake her up so she won't be up tonight or let her sleep? Was thinking of waking her in half an hour for something to eat so I'm not feeding her dinner at 11?

never wake a sleeping (poorly) baby

Is that true or are you making a joke on the old cliche? Sorry I'm so knackered I can't tell anymore

sorry, I thought you would have an avalanche of replies

I meant, she probably really needs the kip and I would let her sleep

the old adage "never wake a sleeping baby" is very, very true (IME)

I agree - leave her to sleep, she obviously needs it and will probably sleep tonight as well if she's not well

bugger - I woke her by mistake taking her temp. Oh well - I'll know for next time.

thanks everyone

I agree - always let them sleep, it is healing for them
