Am I supposed to see the doctor?

DD 16m has a very runny nose and a wet cough. She's been coughing all day. We all have colds in the family including me (i'm pregnant). SOmeone once told me that you're supposed to get this sort of stuff checked out by the doctor in case it goes to her chest. Her breathing appears fine.

The best advice I ever got from anyone was 'don't listen to any advice' so what do you think? Do you think she is okay? Does she have a temperature? I think that's what you need to watch for. NHS Direct are great, if a bit over careful.

If she's breathing ok, sleeping, eating/drinking and not got a temperature then you can probably leave her. Ventilate the room, use olabs oil or a vaporiser to ease congestion and prop up her mattress so she sleeps inclined.

She's ok otherwise-maybe a little tired. I will leave it and see what happens
