Hand foot and mouth without the Mouth?

DD1 (4.9) has rash (more like little spots actually) on hands and feet. Foot rash extends up legs all way to knees. From googling I would say spots DO look like HF&M.

BUT she has no mouth soreness, no temp etc - is this bit to come or is it poss this may be the full extent of it?

I took her to GP this am and he said likely was HF&M and to keep her off school till spots gone - I see from another thread below that NHS Direct advice is slightly different, i.e. no need to keep child with spots off if otherwise well.

I don't want to send her in and infect the whole class but apart from the rash on her feet which she says hurts a bit when she walks she is in fine fettle.

I have kept her home today but it is the reception christmas performance next week and she would be gutted to miss that, as it is she is missing rehearsals.

WWYD?
