Phenergan past expiry date - would you use it?

For DS aged 2.8. Expiry date end of Sept. Am inclined not to use it but thought I'd see what others thought . . .

Did you know it says 'Use within one month of opening' on the bottle?

I asked the pharmacist about this and got a vague answer.
