I took my ds (10) to the docs with this about 5 weeks ago.She told me that kids don't get them and that it was probable that he had worms. She did, however, give me some Canesten cream as he had a cut which she thought was probably due to him scratching.Anyway,he's still getting blood on the tissue when he wipes.Sometimes...usually-he says-when he's wiped too hard.Although, last night he said he didn't think he'd wiped that hard but he bled anyway.I've googled and some say that kids can get them. Some say they indicate something more serious....which is scaring me.
Other thing is-although probably unrelated-he's suffering with quite a few verruccas at the moment.Presumably there's no connection there?

themildmanneredjanitor,i'm not 100% sure.he's very embarrassed after the last trip to the doctor's and isn't keen to tell me/let me see too much now.

He mentions "hard poohs"quite alot.
He did say this morning that he tends to rub to "see if there's any blood"sometimes aswell.
i'm just worried that it's an indicator of something more serious.

dd gets them quite often!

We spoke to a pharmacist who gave her a liquid laxative. She has it ever few months or so.

She spots bright red blood, complains of hard stools and constipation and itchy bottom.

have you been told by a doctor that they're are haemorrhoids then?
The doc I took my son to said they don't get them so young......?

No, like I said we spoke to a pharmacist. They said it is rare but possible.
