Reassure me about ds2 please. Slept pretty much all day.

Ds2 is 4 weeks old (tomorrow)
He has a cough and a cold. Took him to the doctors yesterday and she said he has a sore throat.
He fed this morning and had an alert time between 10 and 11 but since then he's pretty much been asleep. He has fed a few times but they were half hearted feeds poor baby xx

i wouldnt like to advise on a newborn but if it was me i would probably phone nhs direct or take her the walkincentre. i am nuerotic though but i would rather be sure. hope she gets better soon

Maybe I should mention that he usually sleeps ALOT. (being so young) He is normally either asleep or awake and feeding.

It's just today he's not woken much.

How is he?

He is sleeping annie.
Has just had a mini feed.

dh doesn't think we need to take him anywhere as we took him to the gp's last night.

I would def be more worried if he hadn't fed atall, but he has, albeit it short feeds.

Poor thing . I think if he is continuing to feed that is a good thing. My DS always needed to sleep when he was little to get over such things, it can really knock them out. Just keep an eye on him, you'll know if he needs any further medical attention.

He was more wakeful in the night and fed at 12.45 and 3 am ish then 5 ish.
Then today he has had some awake times and fed regularly
He sounds hoarse though and slightly wheezy.

My throat is sore and my ears feel blocked. I must have given this to him.
