Hand Foot and Mouth - when to go back to childminder

DS (13mo) has Hand Foot and Mouth. Was miserable on Thurs (high temp), grumpy as hell yesterday (but no temp) and clingy but much improved today - spots appeared late yesterday. When do you think it's okay for him to return to Childminder? All her kids have had it (in fact DS caught it from her daughter). Grateful for any views.

According to this it will be fine

Unless she has it as a particular exclusion in her policies for some reason

thanks - that's really helpful. Unfortunately she's staying shut until tuesday thanks to some dodgy advice she got from the GP - so she is (quite understandably) reluctant to go against it. Will keep this for future reference though.

She should be using this doc if she is in England

Sorry about her decision

Hiya - thanks. I've passed this on. She reopened today and hopefully things are back to normal now. Closed for a week though -
