DD (11.5 months) has an upset tummy - am I doing this right?

DD was sick after her last bottle last night and had a very bad night. She had a slight temperature. Today she's refused food (unheard of) and is very clingy but temperature isn't as high. Didn't have a bowel movement yesterday but has had 2 noxious ones today . I assuming it's just an upset stomach and we just have to let it take its course with bland food and plenty to drink until it's better. Grateful if you could reassure me and let me know if there's anything else I should be doing and when I'd need to call the doctor.

How is she now?

Keep an eye on how she is generally and that she is doing plenty of wees (so not becoming dehydrated).

I think you are doing fine with the bland food and regular fluids.

She is only young though, so don't worry about ringing for advice if you are worried or if she worsens and you are concerned.

Don't always recommend NHS Direct, but they can be good for this sort of thing.

Hope she's better soon.

Thanks Drooper. Rang NHS Direct last night and they were very good. Despite plenty of fluids (both feeds last night and some water) she's had a very high temperature during the night and no wet nappy this morning. Making doctor's appointment this morning.

How did you get on at doctors? Hope she's ok.
