7m old dd2 just hurled chunked all over the bathroom-ok to breast-feed her after that?

don't know what to do!
she didn't seem upset by all the spewing but there was loads-all her dinner (all over my new jumper too damnit)

have put her to bed without bf-ing her but she doesn't sound happy now-not sure whether milk is a good idea though after all that?
help please!

try little and often rather than huge gollopy feeds though

she actually went to sleep without her bed-time feed, to my surprise. Still not sure what to do about her normal 10.30ish bottle-but might just leave it if she doesn' t wake up.
but she'll be hungry/thirsty during the night-will have to feed her I guess...

Breastmilk is the best thing for her - it's easily digested and will help keep her hydrated as well.

There are a lot of sickness bugs about - you have my sympathy!

Does she have a fever? When she wakes give her BM over formula, if she has a dicky tummy formula will ensure a psychedelic yoghurty bedspread.

don't think she had a fever-though she was snotty this evening, and has been sneezing a lot all day. She hasn't been unhappy though.

right then will breast-feed her if/when she wakes up (and hope she doesn't christen my clean sheets with more spew...it was really quite spectacular earlier on)

and double hope the rest of us don't get whatever she's got!

Sorry to say, but if she's got a virus, you will get it if you are breastfeeding. I've got every bloody thing either of mine have ever got.

But hopefully the vomiting will pass quickly.

Has she only thrown up once? If so it may not be a virus/bug at all. Some children have one or two episodes of vomiting due to various factors (such as coughing, shovelling dinner down too fast etc) only time will tell.

Good luck whatever the cause, but agree 100%with those that say offer small bf as requested.

Definitely breastfeed her, it'll re-line her stomach, give her easily absorbed calories and fluids. It's the best thing she can possibly have!!!

You may not get it, mine have had bugs that I've not come down with, but you will make antibodies to what ever she has, which will help her fight it off quicker, so boob her as much as you can, little and often.
