DD7 has come home from school every day this week and said she has a headache, she says she has it on and off all day and then every night this week when she has been going to sleep she tells me she has got a headache. She hasnt had any colds or other illnesses and isnt on any medication. I have given her nurofen or calpol a few times at night. I have booked her to go for an eye test on Sunday as although I have no concerns about her eyes its something to consider. I do struggle to get her to drink so I did think she may be dehydrated but Im not sure it would give her a headache this often. Any other ideas or advice. If the eye test comes up clear I'll book a dr appointment if nothing changes.

i bet it's a virus, and it will culminate on something else soon.

my dd had similar, which turned in to a cold.

If anything thats what I hoping, as its just a worry. Shes such a healthy little thing that its out of the norm for her to complain. Thanks.

Pepsi,
your DD's probably fine and I don't want to scare you, but do follow it up and keep pushing if you don't get answers and the symptoms continue.
We're nearly 1 year into treatment for an optic pathway tumour in my 4 yr old son, who had been complaining of headaches. The little devil convinced the GP he was fine and made out I was a neurotic mother! (He's doing really well but I do wish I'd been more pro-active in the beginning.)
