4 year old - just lost a milktooth. Too early?

My dd (five next week) mentioned this morning that her tooth was wobbly. Moments ago she just said that her wobbly tooth had fallen out... is she a bit young to be losing teeth or am I fussing over nothing?

DD's friend lost her first tooth 2 days after her 5th birthday so not too early really.

It is on the young side but you can't do anything about it.

I think my DD was around that age when she lost her first, DS on the other hand has just lost his last milktooth. he is 15 next month

Mine started losing hers early too, but she had her 2 teeth by the time she was 4 months so I put it down to that!

I was 4.7 when I stated school and had already lost 2 baby teeth by then. I got them early too, the first one came through at 4 months I think.

The only trouble I had is too big teeth in a small mouth so lots of overcrowding and orthodontics as a teen, I don't know if that has anything to do with the age they came through or just the way I'm made?

A number of children in DD's class lost their first teeth in reception, many not quite 5 at the time.

DD is the opposite - only just lost her first tooth this month, at 7y4m. But she did get her teeth late.

DD is 4yrs 9 months and has a wobbly tooth at the bottom. At her last dentist visit he said that as dd's first teeth had come through at 4 months, it wasn't surprising that she had started getting wobbly teeth.

Ds has lost 3 teeth in the last 4 weeks but he is 5.10yrs. We left £2 for the first and £1 for everyone since.

dentist said on our last visit that it is fine and they are being lost in correct order.

she also got her teeth at early age 2 teeth at 4months and had all the main baby ones by 12 months..

do you get points for doing it in the correct order? What if they fall out in the wrong order - will you shove them back in?

DD got her teeth in the wrong order (bottom middle two came in after several others top and bottom) and has lost her first in wrong order too.

I assume the concern with the big teeth coming in in "wrong" order is to do with space. I have noticed DD's new tooth is coming in quite sideways, as there is no room either side until the middle two bottoms ones are out of the way.

I only ask because DD hit her top teeth a while ago and they are slightly miscoloured - I wondered whether they normally fall out first, or whether hers will out early because they've been damaged.

think its usually the 2 front bottom to go first then front top 2.

and hulababy is right that if come in wrong order its to with spacing..
