2 month old with cold and cough now horrible cry

hi there my baby is two months old he has had cold and cough symptoms for the last two days. No temperature and is taking his milk okay. he has been unsettled but today he has started with a different cry - sort of bah like - panicking this means something. Will call health visitor in morning but worried in between, Would welcome any thoughts x

Is his breathing OK? Fast? Is there a small indent below his chest bone when he breathes? Does his chest/throat 'suck in' as he breathes?

a different type of cry really needs to be seen by a doc in one so young. its prob fine but get him checked out. go and see your out of hours doc.

hi ladies thanks for your replies. I called nhs direct last night and they said to take him to the docs today. doc has checked him over and said probably just a cold and he is a little hoarse. said to give him calpol and keep an eye on his temp. thanks again x
