They won't offer much , try raising her cot head and vaporiser/humidifer

Ledodgy · 20/07/2009 17:13

Is her breathing rate ok?

Disenchanted3 · 20/07/2009 17:16

Yes shes fine in every other respect, just a very consistant throaty cough.

Dd has been like that, same thing, had SF, finished tamiflu yesterday but still had horrible cough, I said she sounded like a dog with TB. She has hardly slept because of it unless in a sling sucking my finger BUT it is a lot better today whereas yesterday I was starting to panic about chest infection or something.

Disenchanted3 · 20/07/2009 17:23

yes, shes waking herself up all night,

hopefully it will calm tomorrow then, how old is your DD indith?

7 months she is still pretty grumpy but the cough is more "normal", yesterday she sounded so hoarse.

Disenchanted3 · 20/07/2009 17:28

Its horrid, her whole little face goes pink she coughs so much,

A december baby then

yup, you've just forgotten us all

LilRedWG · 20/07/2009 17:35

I know of four five year olds who have had swine flu followed the next week by tonsillitis, so it may be worth calling the GP to ask them to check her for a secondary infection.

Hope she is better soon.

CrushWithEyeliner · 20/07/2009 17:39

Could be a secondary infection after such a strong virus as SF for a little one, I would call GP and voice your concerns.

Indith · 21/07/2009 12:15

How is she today?
