chapped lips on newborn, what can i put on her?

my 2 week old has chapped lips and milk blisters- this morning its kind of burst and is hard, she must be in pain
i live in the middle east so air con is on all the time, and i am bf on demand- she is not dehydrated

what, if anything can i put on it?? thanks!

Hi - if you have any pure lanolin (Lasinoh etc) - that works a treat. Otherwise I would just try vasaline regularly.

Under 4 weeks they tend to be very sensitive to everything.

Perhaps a little olive oil.

Vasaline can be quite drying it's more of a barrier.

blueberry, milk blisters on lips are totally normal. you don't need to put anything on them, all 3 of my babies have had them and they don't seem to cause them any pain at all. it's just a little loose bit of skin.

they'll clear up by themselves

Leave it. It's fine, they won't be in pain from it. My dd had them for the first few weeks.
