Do all chicken pox spots turn to blisters or do some just look like a rash?

Ds3 (10 months old) has chicken pox - we think. I took him to the GP on Thursday as he came out with blisters around his mouth and a few elsewhere, with a rash on his back. I was worried as he had an immunisation that morning. GP diagnosed chicken pox.

Th blisters have crusted now (a few more had appeared on his back, but yesterday and today he has developed a red spotty rash, mostly on his legs and torso. They are not blistering though.

So is this normal? Ds1 and ds2 did have chicken pox a couple of years ago, but i can't remember what happened with theirs.

the first ones sound like chicken pox but the others sound like either a heat rash or a viral rash. (maybe it is related to the jab he had)

Hmmmmm.....what other viruses cause a red spotty rash - the spots are largish with spaces between, but lots and lots of spots. Not at all like heat rash.

That happened to DS2. The Gp said it was folliculitis, and gave us an AB cream. His back and face were full of tiny spots.

You touch (baby touches his CP spot than your hand) and later you touch normal skin,and voilà, infection of the skin, folliculitis. I put the cream mainly on the bigger ones to avoid further infection. It will go away in 4 days
