Scars - what to put on to minimise scarring?

My poor baby boy (2yo) fell over on Sunday morning and his face is a mess - looks like he's been mugged

The scabs are coming off his nose and the skin underneath is really red and shiny and scarred-looking.

Would bio-oil help? Or something else? Sob

Poor Lad . I'm sure someone wil come along with an answer soon. I just wanted to say that any scars will need thick suncream on this summer - they burn very easily. I have one down each side of my leg / ankle and my consultant nagged me about this endlessly.

dd was horrible burnt on her lovely wee face when she was 2 (my fault!) it went horrible scabby adn i felt awful. it got better eventually all by itself. they are v. good at mending themselves at this age.

Pure vitamin e oil is very good.

Ok, that's helpful. Will try to get some vit e oil, and make sure he's factor 50-ed up to the max.
