Dd1 has an eye infection <or sunburn?>

Can you sunburn your eyes?

She has been up very late two nights in a row. She stayed at my sisters last night and after lunch they took her to beach to play in the paddling pool.

She is burned on her cheeks and arms but not very badly.

Her eyes are red and weepy and have yellow puss collecting in them.

She had suncream on, but dd1 burns very easily. She had no sunglasses.

Will the chemist be able to give her anything over the counter tommorrow? My doctors are closed for the bank holiday.

Sounds like conjunctivitis but I have no idea if you can sunburn your eyes. I would think probably not, hey, stranger things have happened at sea!

The chemist can give you Optrex infected eyes or Golden eye is pretty good too.

I'm pretty sure you can.. but it sounds more like an eye infection or conjunctivitis (sp)..

take her to the pharmasist tomorrow and see what they say .

Can you really BCNS?! That's interesting. Just googled and found this -

Mine was a bit of a guess tbh.. seeing that eyes are a type of skin, therefore might burn.. wouldn't know what to look for though.. so interesting snippet there martha.

It's conjunctivitis. Pop to the pharmacy in the morning. I bet she won't be able to open it in the morning because it's caked over.
