Travel Sickness...My daughter is terrible - she is on her way to Germany with the school and has already been sick 3 times in 1 hour

What do you give?
and when?

I gave her a tablet 2 hours before she left
She was sick on the way to the bus - with worry about being sick
then twice on the coach- so far

I want something strong, that works.
There was a French brand that were amazing but obviously I cannot remember the name now!

yes - no good

Poor thing I presume you have tried ginger, looking out of the window, not reading etc etc

yes all those things..she is sat at the front next tot he teacher and is on a 10 hour journey.

Itinerol B6 works and comes in various forms and you get it in Switzerland so probably in Germany too.

there is make called gravol, which they do, do for children, i suffer from motion sickness and it worked well for me, however i'm not sure if you can buy it in the uk

Can they stop for a while let her tum settle and then re try giving her something

I think they ahve stopped for a while already but have a boat to cathc

I will look into those sauerkraut - perhpas the teacher can buy some in germany

My Dd has tried lots of travel sickness remedies but the only one we found worked was Traveleeze...active ingredient Meclozine hydrochloride. It made her a bit sleepy but that was a good thing as it made the long journey pass more quickly for her. We gave a half a Pastille on the night before travelling and then some more one hour before departure. Our problem was long haul flights and Dd would be sick for hours at a time and not eat anything for 24 hours, but this worked!!

yes have heard phenigan is good - and you give the night before
will look into traveleeze too
Thenight before is the key I think, especially for long journeys

The red sweetie type in a dark blue box with a plane on the front - can't remember name - works for my fairly travel sickie DS. Can be taken the previous day, as it works for 24 hours, so they can kind of forget about it on the day.

Phenergan is the only thing that works for my 2 Dses. Ds1 used to be so bad that he would be crying for mos tof the journey, worrying about being sick, then being sick then worrying he would be sick again

just heard from the teacher nad she has calmed down and not been sick for a while.
am thinking of getting them to give her a tablet the night before on her way home and then another one in the monring...do you think that is a good idea?
