13 month-old with agonising stomach pains at night - silent reflux?

My dd has pains every single night, I've been down the cranial osteopath route, changed formula (was on Wysoy, now Goat's Milk), taken to GP etc, and now they think might be silent reflux so is on Ranitidine. It's been a few days and she actually seems worse. The paediatrician said he didn't believe in 'trapped wind', which seemed bizarre, and I got no help with what to feed her/not feed her. She arches her back, but when held upright she's okay and nods back off to sleep. She is very gassy though. Help anyone??

i would suggest you try to find a baby dietician. There is obviously something wrong. really analyse what you are feeding her, some foods recommended these are are far too fatty and some make a lot of wind. try to eliminate these. Put her on a a very bland diet. Pureed carrots are apparently quite innocuous. It does help to put them on their tummy, if she rolls over lay her across your lap for a few minutes. Also you could give her some baby paracetomol, to ease the pain. good luck. Unless you are very lucky even some top so called paediatricians are useless. Try also eliminating all dairy. soy milk is excellent. My daughter was told goats milk is not too much better than cows.

Thanks so much Latootle, I'll try those things you suggest that I hadn't thought of so far, and keep on hoping to get to the bottom of it. She's no better and the nights are very painful for her, but I don't seem to be able to get any proper help!!
