ds has a sore patch of skin on his face -what to put on it ?

it started when he had a cold on one cheek its bright red and hot to the touch have tried savlon and vasaline but its not going
any idea's
is it worth a trip to gp ?

sudocream?
i would try the sudocream for a week and then go to the GP

I'd use E-45. In fact, I am using E-45 on both my ds's.

Sudocream, as it is also antiseptic. It's the only thing (incl a prescription cream) that worked to clear it up.

Worth a trip to GP.

Happened to ds about a month ago - I tried over the counter creams E45 etc) and nothing shifted it. I tried those creams over a period of about a month, and it then ended up getting much worse as it wasn't being treated properly.

One quick trip to GP, he prescribed anti-biotic cream, and it was cleared within a week.

I was also advised to keep him off school until it cleared. So definitely worth getting the GP to check it out just in case it is contageous or needs something a bit stronger.

went to see the pharmacist who told me to take him to gp so have got an appointment at 3pm today
will let you know we get on
