6 week old sick all the time, 1 dirty nappy a day usually, screams in pain a lot!

jack has huge amounts of wind, takes an hour or more to bring it all up, is sick a lot not just after feeds, wont lay on his back unless already asleep. hiccups about 5 times a day and screams like someone is setting fire to him! any ideas?

Sounds very like reflux to me. Valve in babies stomach is weak and they bring up feeds and sometimes acid from the stomach causing pain. You can get medication for it, but in the meantime, keep him upright for about 20 mins after feeds, and elevate the head of his cot/moses basket. Go to your gp.

Yep I agree - reflux.
I had to keep mine upright for 45mins after every feed. Spent a lot of time in a bouncy chair ie not lying down, as a baby.
If you are bottle feeding, I found Farleys milk to be the easiest to keep down.
Good luck! They do grow out of it!
