My Ds has huge tonsils, coughing like anything tonight and saying his throat hurts

although I couldnt see any white bits on his glands should I still take him to docs? or just dose with calpol etc

I would take him. Both my dcs are prone to tonsillitus, and I always take the view that catching it earlier is better. See how he is tomorrow. Does his breath smell? That's always the give away in our house.

Yep the bad breath is a dead giveaway in our house too!!
