Mouth ulcer in an 18 month old

Its agony for him, he's really miserable.

They run in the family (DH's side!)

What can I do for him? We've been giving him pain killer but he won't let me touch it to put bonjela or anything on (DH says its useless anyway)

Ice cream, ice lollies. They are very painful. Do you what the cause is? Some toothpastes can cause them.

Really? Thats interesting because he's just startted brushing his teeth. When its healed think we'll try again without paste then
