i know she might not get it but i don't think I've had it so I won't have passed on any immunity to her.
any got any experience of measles in newborns? can you give them anything for fever?
am beside myself already and if she does have it it won't emerge til next week- please somebody slap me and tell me to get a grip or reassure me or something

I think best go & see your GP.

I don't have any experience of measles in newborns. DS had it at eleven months old, and wasn't that ill at all. I had it at the age of 35 years and was very seriously ill. So clearly it varies. Your GP might choose to give your DD an injection to help her immunity to measles, depending on the risk he perceives. They can't give MMR at that age but they can give immunoglobulin. Phone up, make an appointment. Best of luck.

Gawd I hope you don't too, wouldn't wish it on anyone. I was at a low ebb when I caught it - physically exhausted, hadn't been taking care of myself, just getting over pneumonia, so my immunity was rubbish. Usually adults fight it off but my immune system just waved a white flag. Hopefully you will fight it off like a normal adult, instead of the weird excuse for an immune system that I appear to have!

Good luck with the doctor.
