Toddler playgroups and antibiotics - would you take your child?

DS1 has just started a dose of antibiotics for a throat infection. I don't know if he is allowed to go to playgroup or not. He no longer has a temp so am wondering if I should keep him home or take him to playgroup (he is begging to go)

I'd take him if he's ok in himself

Ditto

Does the playgroup have a policy? Our nursery won't let a child attend for 48 hours if they've been prescribed antibiotics regardless of how they're feeling. Presumably because that's the time when they are most likely to pass it on to the other children.

I don't suppose you'd be very popular with the other mums if the rest of them all come down with the same throat infection

Thanks all - have decided to keep him home today, but out tomorrow
