He has just been straining and has passed a very hard stool. I'm thinking he's probably just got a little tear in his rectum. He is perfectly well in himself but is obviously constipated, he hasn't had his BO for over 24 hours which is unusual these days. He has never had this before, has anyone else experienced this, what did you do? Thanks

Poor thing. Ds2 used to get very constipated. Is he too warm at night? Try giving him more water and upping his drinks in general.

Quite possibly quornsilk I feel really bad that he may not have had enough to drink yesterday. What an idiot!

Oh don't feel bad Madame cheese - we don't know our children are prone to constipation until it happens. He'll be absolutely fine.
I used lactulose with my ds, can't remember what age from. It's very good.
