26 month DS has terrible cough, and high temp.....what can I give him?

I'm giving, calpol, baby nureophen, he's currently eating an Ice Pop, but his cough is awful, he keeps vomiting from coughing so hard . Can I give him buttercup syrup?

Not unless the bottle specifically says it's okay for that age. You could try a spoonful of honey - that can really help coughing. Also a warm drink - maybe hot water with some honey or Ribena or similar in it might help the cough a bit. Call NHS Direct if you are worried. They will tell you what is safe to give.
