I would phone NHS direct or an out of hours doctors service. They will probably tell you to give him more calpol to bring his temp down but give them a call they will tell you exactly what to do. Hope he is better soon.

strip off, tepid sponge to get temp down, if he had had meds 10 mins before he threw up, I wouldn't give again as he would have absorbed some, if it was immediate, I would give again once temp reduced by sponging.

Note the above is what I would do, but

If any doubts ring NHS direct

You need to ask a doctor to give you some paracetamel suppositories. This should bring temp down and can't be thrown up. There should be an out-of-hours number (where are you?)

Been to out of hours and he's now got penicillin. Temp was 39.8 when doc took it so he was happy that some medicine had stayed down.
Doc said if they sick within 5 mins then to give the dose again but longer than that we have to wait till due another dose.
Ds does seem a little brighter but not really move off sofa
