hand , foot and mouth on 9 month old baby

Hi seen few post about this on here. My son is 9 months old and came out with spots yesterday round his mouth , few days before seemed like he had a cold and has cough. Just wondering has anyone else baby taken it this young and what is best to use on his mouth? as he has them inside his mouth and wont eat but drinking but his mouth is sore with them

My 9mo DS has just been diagnosed with this by the GP today. He's been really whingy and clingy for a few days and bizarrely, although he looks grim with the spots, he's in a better mood than he has been for days. GP said there's not much you can do, just paracetamol if he seems sore. My DS is eating fine now, but he was off his food before the spots appeared. There's loads of threads on here with advice, many saying that as long as he's drinking he's OK.

Thanks he is over it now , and back to eating the way he was , though toke him a few days to eat what he normal does .. It only last few days so not long until your son is feeling better as well
