URGENT! my dd just bit a piece of a washing powder tablet

She bit a small piece, my dh was in the kitchen with her and managed to get some of it out but she did swallow some.

Do I take her up the hospital?

Agree re: NHS Direct - let us know how she gets on.

A drink of milk can help - lines the stomach.

about 9 years ago my ds scooped up some powder I had dropped on the floor as I was filling the washer he gave his hand a good lick and swallowed some.
I rang our local a&e and they said he would be fine (he was) .

I would ring nhs direct though for peace of mind .

Phoned NHS direct and spoke to a nurse, she checked the poison records and said she should be fine.

She recommended milk or infocal (sp)
