Second Teeth - do they cause your child much pain

My DD is 6 and has started losing her first teeth. One of her front teeth is cutting at the moment and she is up nearly every night complaining. Should they give that much bother - I thought it was bad enough first time round. Your experiences please.

neither of my two had any problems with their second teeth

if you think about it, the hole in the gum is already there so it shouldn't cause them any pain

is she just playing on it, for a bit of sympathy?

dd1 has just lost her first tooth. She complained about having pain once.

Thank you - maybe she is just playing up. I hope so. She is sensitive to pain and maybe she does feel something. The second teeth are larger I suppose and perhaps they are causing some discomfort. I'll just grin and bear it!!

we took our dd (6) to the dentist a few weeks ago as her adult teeth were causing her so much pain, she was like an oversized teething baby, i felt so sorry fo rher

the first of dd's second teeth bothered her, but none of the rest have (so far anyway!).
