Is extreme crabbiness a side effect of the MMR jab?

DS had his on Tuesday and he's been mega clingy since, he cries at the drop of a hat and today he insisted on having his dummy when I took him to the cm. He surrendered it at the offer of breakfast, but he's normally so good about giving it up in the morning. He didn't sleep well at all last night, he was so clingy I couldnt' get him to sleep in his cot, but when I brought him in to bed with us he wanted to play.

He also fell down the stairs on Wednesday and gave himself a bump on the head, a black eye and a nose bleed. All these stories about head injuries are giving me the willies, and I keep thinking perhaps he's got some terrible injury.

My dd had MMR on Monday and she has been quite sensitive today which isn't like her. Quite teary. Your poor DS, I'm sure they'll both be fine in a few hours. I keep forgetting that she has just had a jab and it cutting molars to boot. I'm like what is wrong, then remember and get the calpol out.

How was your DS after the earlier jabs? DD was fine apart from the 3rd one, 24 hours after that she was very out of sorts

He's been fine with previous jabs, so I'm not worried he's had an adverse reaction, plus due to illnesses he's a bit later than normal having it (he's 18 months), but they list all these things, rashes, temperatures, flu like symptoms, but no one said that crabbiness was a side effect. I gave ds some calpol last night even though he didn't have a temperature because he was so miserable something was bothering him.

DD was late too, shes 16mo, I agree the list of symptoms is scary, and they go on for so long.. DD has just awoken from a 2 hour nap (she never sleeps much in the day normally) and is now much brighter. I can't wait until she is old enough to tell me what she is feeling. Hope your little man is feeling better soon.
