on day 5 of chicken pox spots can i nip to supermarket??

dd on day 5 of chicken pox, few spots on sat definately chicken pox by sunday. she is so much better today and even slept last night, spots are scabbing over-am i safe to nip to supermarket or is she still too contagious??

unfortunatly she is still contagious until they have all scabbed over. I don't think the level of contagiousness (is that a word?!) depends on number of spots.

if they are all scabbed over and no new ones have appeared in the last 24 hours, then she should not be contagious...

no she's not had any new ones, the only ones with out scabs are tho ones on her bottom, though they have popped/burst, presumed that was because she's in nappies, and what with weeing and pooping they take longer to heal?

hpa advice is to stay away form other poeple for 5 days after the spots appear, not until they are all scabbed over see here

so it's oyur call. today is day 5. I'd leave it until tomorrow if possible
