Ds told me his heart was beeping in his chest and to make it stop?

Should I be worried?
He was asking me to make it stop
He hasn't said it today this was yesterday morning. He say's its better now.

I think most likely it was just one of those times when it feels noticeable, rather than being a sign of problems. If he's a normally healthy child and is developing and growing as expected, it's very unlikely there'd be anything wrong with his heart.

He is quite a poorly child but is growing well.

How old is he ? My 5 yr old started saying this a couple of months ago and I did take him to get checked out . The dr was brilliant and explained to him how you can feel it sometimes if you concentrate on it but not to worry .

My ds has not mentioned it since .

I think he had first noticed it after excercise but then looked out for it iyswim. So when he told me it was doing it when he was resting I did worry but all ok now.

alibobins - i was told by a first aider that children'c heartrate can increase when they are fighting stuff ie colds off and also when they are poorly.
am sure your little guy is fine heartwise, there are certainly plenty of colds and stuff going round atm
