I know this can be a symptom of meningitis, but ds2 often has cold hands and feet. Sometimes they go purple or white with cold- I think its poor circulation, DH and MIL are the same. BUT...I have been surprised that with a temp of 40 ish they are still cold. Do you reckon its ok? Shall I go to see GP? My gut feeling is its a coldy virus thing as he is obviously feeling a bit miserable (makes that ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh ehhhhhhhhhhh sound) and has the temp (which comes down to 38ish with nurofen) and is snuffly, so not sure if I should bother really? Thanks

I agree with the others. Give NHS direct a call and get him seen by the out of hours, tonight if you can.

Call the doctor, but also, DD2 had (still has) freezing cold hands and feet when she has a temperature. Was advised by a paed to strip her down to her bodysuit but leave her socks on when I was trying to cool her down.

Hi, plus, sorry your baby is not well.

It is common for babies to have cold hands and feet, particularly when they have a fever, so do not worry about that.
It is good that his temp goes down to 38 with treatment, but if you are worried than get him checked out. Prob viral, but you know him best.
DS2 only "does" high temperatures, 39 to 40C is par for the course with any cold for him, his brother are not like that; I do not know why ..
Good luck!
