Home remedies for possible UTI in 5 yo girl?

Went to docs with DD1 the other day as she was complaing of 'nippy pee' but he just said to make sure she drank lots of water, wiped front to back, washed every day etc. etc. Today she went to the loo 5 times in a hour.
Is there anything I can give her that will help that I might have in the cupboard - I don't know - bicarbonate or something?
(Not cranberry juice as we cant get it here and anyway it's full of sugar which is counter-productive for UTI cases...)
Thanks!

UTI in children needs Abs - or you risk it tracking back to teh kidney pretty quickly. Any out of hours care that you can use?

She's been ok for the last couple of hours. It seems to come and go. Will make an appointment for her for monday.
