DD 2.1 fever has just broken (I hope) after 3 days. She won't eat anything just fluid and is now asleep from the exhuastion of it all.

How on earth do I build her back up after this it has hit her for 6. I can see her little hip bones poking out of her body

dd 19mo has had snot, cough and a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. No real fever but just miserable (I know - i have it too!). She also went off her food - would only eat yoghurt and Ella's fruit pouches. She's not got any extra fat to lose and the tops of her arms are soooo skinny

She's just started eating some proper meals again - though they do sometimes make her cry! She sees me approaching with a plate and dissolves - so I reckon it must have been sore in the past to eat and she's not ready to get back into it quite yet.

I just stuck to lots of milk and anything else that she would eat until she was ready.

Hope your dd gets better soon - it's horrid when they are so poorly.

Thanks - sounds like the same thing but DD is very prone to fevers so that makes things 10x worse. She also sees me approaching with food and runs away...

My dd would run away if she wasn't strapped into her booster seat !

My DS (nearly 4) had this a couple of weeks ago, really sick with temp up and down for about five days - I just stuck to lots of milk, ice lollies, fruit & yogurt - anything he would eat basically.

Now my 6mo DD has it which I'm much more worried about as she's much younger - will stick to milk today and see how she goes before going to doctor, I don't think they can really do anything for it, can they? Will alternate Nurofen and Calpol, I suppose and keep an eye on her temp. Aaagh - have had disturbed nights for the last month on account of teething, I am not able for this!
