dd, aged 2 1/2, has, we think, a mouth ulcer. she has been a bit picky with her food and says that her tongue hurts; on closer inspection, it looks like a mouth ulcer. Is there anything i can do for her? will calpol help? dont have teething gel or anything handy.

Bonjela will help
Difflam spray would really help but I don't know if she is too young for it

Calpol will kill the pain

& if she can eat them salt & vinegar crisps will reduce it's duration (well they do in me but they hurt like buggery)

Clove oil on cotton wool if you have any.
