can anyone advise whether i'm safe to leave this a week or two to resolve itself (as would be my inclination) or whether i should be taking it more seriously?

dd1 has been off colour all last week, sore throat, slight temp, headaches, achey legs, but nothing that really affected her energy levels except on tuesday when i packed her off to bed. she's seemed much better the last few days (still with headaches and sore legs) but has virtually stopped eating. e.g. a few pieces of melon for breakfast, one piece of chicken and one piece of pasta for lunch, half a cheese sandwich for tea. can't be tempted with a variety of foods including fruit, crisps, chocolate, crackers, toast etc. have sent her into school today on a quarter piece of toast and half a pear.

i'm keen not to make a huge deal of her not eating as we've avoided eating/control/attention issues so far. she seems fine in herself.

she's a sturdy little thing so i'm not concerned about her going without much food until her appetite naturally resumes, as long as that's within a week or so. but i suppose that raises another issue which is deliberately not eating i've gently asked if she has any worries etc. and she assures me nothing's wrong.

this is just something out of my usual experience so wanted to check my instincts - that i can leave it to resolve itself - aren't terribly neglectful (it has been known )

tia
